Really frustrating that factual neutral feedback can just be removed by a seller because they complain to eBay.
I think this undermines the purpose and integrity of feedback. Why even allow such practices?

Yes they would have had to complain to ebay, but ebay will not automatically remove FB, just because a seller does not like it. Ebay will only act if the FB is contrary to ebay policies. And just to add, ebay do not like the term defamation and often a persons facts do not stand scrutiny.
I suppose the lack of any case/claim, could also leave any comment open to dispute

Hi springy, I have even had positive FB removed. If it is in breach, it should not matter if it is +,- or N.
Just to add, ebay often leaves the dot, but removes the comment, it is usually left looking like this --

"So apparently unless you’re saying everything is awesome it seems you may as well not bother leaving feedback at all".
This is exactly the situation every seller faces when leaving feedback for buyers -the ONLY option is to leave positive feedback (without any other options it really shouldn't be referred to as feedback).

Sellers do have options. They can opt to leave no feedback at all & they can opt to open a claim if the buyer does not pay.
I understand what you mean though-they can't leave neg or neutral feedback. Giving a bad buyer a strike (if possible) is the best revenge though.
In fact, even a buyer leaving neg feedback is not the best revenge either. Getting a refund is.
I look on feedback as an optional extra on both sides but it is a shame when factual feedback is removed, which sometimes happens.
