It is certainly possible that things work differently in different locations -- sometimes by design, or to comply with laws, and sometimes due to an error -- but it would be very odd if eBay allowed users in the US to use an Australian address, and search for items located in Australia, and limit results to items listed as being shipped from Australia, and users in other countries could do exactly the same thing, but that eBay did not allow users in Australia to do that at all.

@eburtonlab
I owe you an apology…… I did a bit of digging around our eBay app version late last night and again this morning….. AND I FOUND THE LOCKABLE SETTINGS.
It is different on the AU app, but it works FOR MOST SEARCHES, NOT ALL.
So, if I’m searching second hand items, (eg, denim jeans) the lockable search’s work. I’ll just get AU sellers and AU locations.
However, if I’m searching brand new items (eg, table runners) the lockable searches don’t work as effectively. I still get the sponsored listings at the top of the search and I still get dropshippers. Even when I add the (distance to me, first) I still get these listings in the first two or three lines of results…….……but….. overall, I’ve got to say, it’s a step in the right direction.
We find this lockable filter in a different setting to you in the USA, so I’ve also taken some screen shots.
Can someone using a pc, tell me if you have this option too, please.
It’s obviously been added since the last upgrade.
Thanks Eburtonlab, for the heads up. 👍🏻 and again, I’m sorry I was rude to you in my previous post. 🌹

How original
Clearly you have a big problem with being given factual answers
And you claim other members are not being adults

i do the same, naturally. i had the idea to write this post to rouse the hungry masses. i figured given enough enthusiasm from the community it would be implemented, the old *the people have spoken* bit.
cheers anyway

it is possible to view items being sold within australia, the issue being that one must set the option each time a new search is performed. there are various tricks i have figured out that others have mentioned but what i meant was that it would be nice to have an option to set this filter setting as a default so that i can restrict the location for each new search. *takes a breath*
