Thought I would check to see if there has been anything done yet regarding the seller who seems to be missing.
Did a search for "Fortune Fish" and sure enough his listing is still live and tops the search out of 60 results in Best Match. Interesting that with a feedback score of 97% and getting close to 200 negs this seller's listing has not dropped in Best Match.
You have to wonder what is going on ?:|
I am still worried about the seller. Has anyone heard anything yet?

The seller's store is still open and people are still buying, which shows buyers don't check feedback. The most concerning aspect is that every person who has had a bad experience with this seller will tell their friends and associates and this increases the fear that eBay is not a safe place to buy. This impacts on the honest sellers on eBay who lose sales potential. eBay's lack of action hurts us all.

I have an update-just rung SA police myself.
They do NOT live anywhere in the area they have registered with ebay & SA police have NO knowledge of anything happening to anyone with their names.

Good on you for doing that and getting them to check those things Foxy.
I'm not sure exactly what it means though.
people would notice if their items where sent from somewhere else you would think ?
? possible use of a distributor ?

perhaps they just moved and didn't change their registered address . It's good to hear that the SA police have no record of any harm coming to people with those names.
Still no visible action on the account and fb ?

I just tried to find the seller "Fortune Fish", but got the answer that the sellers name can not be found.
Has eBay finally closed this account?
When I looked a couple of days ago, all his feedback for Buyers was the same. Meaning it was automated after every payment.
Very bad response from eBay when so many members contacted them about this case. Just shows how much care we have to take and precautions that something like that does not happen to one of us.

I know a few people have contacted eBay directly, but I'm wondering is anyone has been actively reporting the listings themselves? I'm starting to think that might help get something done - eg suspect non-existent items. It seems to get action taken fairly quickly under the right circumstances, although I know this is a bit of a different situation to the common 0-FB newly registered scammer, I think it's worth a shot to at least try and get the listings taken down so people stop buying.

Fortune Fish is one of the items they sell - $2 free post.

Thanks, DG.
I never kept the sellers name from the first thread, thought the name in brackets was it.
I am very concerned about this case, and hearing that eBay does not care, makes me wonder how much trust we can have in them?
