I buy an item - pay immediately, but the seller takes 4 or 5 days to mail it. If they are not doing same day despatch they should indicate this on their site and I would then not buy. They demand payment within 3 days, we should demand despatch within the same time frame. EBay should have some sort of policy on this. When I buy ex East can take up to 10 working days to get here. Add a further 4 or 5 days before the item gets mailed, then this can mean it can take 3 weeks to get to WA.

@nikara wrote:However not the case in this ladys situation. She was not busy, she waited those 8 days purposefully as she was 'waiting' for it to go from her paypal to her bank account. If I knew this was compulsory I could have just put it into her bank account and it would have been there in 24 hours not 8 days. Therefore, she needs to put something in her listing and not waste people's time.
Yes, if that is that sellers approach she needs to extend her handling time to allow for that to occur.
Very unfair and misleading.
I gather that if it was made clear in their lsiting that the seller would not post until paypal funds had been transferred into their account, you may have decided to pay via bank deposit so you could get your goods in ample time for a particular occassion..
IMO this practice is not consistent with the practices of a good seller.

i put on my listings that i post once a week and reflect this in the handling time and i still get marked down for postage times eventhough it is stated in the listing. sometimes sellers cannot win. no matter how hard they try to do the right thing.

nikara..
A little hasty me thinks...but.. May I make the suggestion that you place measurements in your listings for your clothing and perhaps a size in your heading...I for one am so sick of sending emails asking for details, that now I just back button as I really can't be bothered asking any more and I am sure there are many others like me...
"You are your customers eyes" so close ups of the spots would help too...Just a suggestion...
