I am having a problem at my local post office regards to lodging small size parcels that meet Australia post new weight limits for satchels and boxes my post office will not except a Ebay label that has 500g 1KG or 3KG which exceed these weight limited printed on the labels, they informed me to get Ebay to change the labelling weights, then they will except it. I have rang AP business section , they also had told me it is up to Ebay to get in line with the new limits. As a single person I have no hope them listening to me, in the mean time millions of dollars are forked out by Ebay sellers , for overweight items. I find strange for such a very important change that this does not seem to be mentioned My the way Ebay has placed the working in there label section small bag ,but maintain the 500gm on the there labels eBay posted this update on the 10/10/19 Australia Post Service Updates At this time every year, Australia Post updates their pricing for postage labels. Here are a few changes you can expect on eBay as a result: Some eBay rates will now be based on the origin and destination zone of each item. That means lower costs for same-city and different-city metro postage. eBay packaging will be classified by size, rather than weight. So, for example, a 500g parcel will become a ‘small’ parcel. Satchels and boxes will have a maximum weight of 5kg, and prices will vary depending on the origin and destination zone of the item. In response to this change, we’re streamlining postage services available on our labels platform and within listing flows. We’ll automatically map these newly available services to the existing ones, so you won’t need to do anything.
