Exports of goods and services from Australia are generally GST-free. If you're registered for GST, this means: you don't include GST in the price of your exports you can still claim credits for the GST included in the price of purchases you use to make your exported goods and services. ============================================================================================== So, as we are registerd for GST, why doesn't a buyer logged in to eBay Australia from say, New Zealand, see our eBay Australia listed items prices, excluding Australian GST. At the moment a buyer in New Zealand buying from us is paying the Austrailian price for our items, which includes 10% GST. Then they are paying New Zealand GST on top of our Australian GST included prcies and postage to NewZealand. So they are getting stung twice for GST, once form Australia and once from NewZealand. Yes we can claim back the Australin GST content, but we still get stung by eBay Australia for fees on our sales including GST on expoted goods. So summing up................. If a Australian eBay seller is registerd for Australian GST, the eBay Australia system should automatically show listed prices excluding GST , not including GST to buyers logged in from outside of Australia. Perhaps eBay Australia should follow reverb.com's lead. For items we sell thru reverb.com from Ausatralia we list our prices with and without Australian GST. A buyer from within Australia sees both prices but is billed plus GST. A buyer from outside of Australia sees only a price that does not include Australia GST.
