In my listing i put CASH only as my condition of sales. As ebay rules everybody should offer paypal(among 3 options) as a payment method. In my listing goods are only for pickup, no postage. If customer denied to pay cash and like to pay through paypal, can i refuse to accept that.
does my condition override ebays one?

Good luck - this thread was opened on May the 21st so the OP might not be listing anything now.

I would posit that pj's terms are within eBay's rules and you will have egg on your face, rather than cream.
Pick up is pick up. Paypal don't provide protection, so why should eBay insist on any totally inappropriate method of payment?

Whilst I might agree it is ridiculous - cash is not a safe payment on ebays terms.
Look it up on the site map.... you know where it is.
A safe payment method must be nominated. It can not be cash only.

However setting the sale up so that the safe payment method requires the buyer to pay for postage at the seller's discretion is not against the rules, hence pj's totally appropriate method of dealing with the issue.

NOT OFFERING SAFE PAYMENT IS BREAKING EBAY POLICY

Boy, I didn't think this would turn in to an argument just because I asked a question. Anyway, all items have to have PayPal as an option for buyers so it's up to the buyer whether they want to pay cash on pick up or pay by PayPal - if the option is there for cash on pick up, how is that breaking ebay's policy?

Its linked to an issue arising in another thread mimi
Setting up listings and encouraging the same, to serve a purpose that a buyer is unable to pay for cash on pick up item via paypal or credit card without incurring excessive freight is against ebays rules.
Cash on pick up is only available for selected ebay categories.
Admonishing posters as some regular posters do, for allowing paypal payments for pick up items, when they are just operating within ebay rules, is also pretty off in my books too.
And all on the basis of credit card chargebacks which are not the norm.
