Defect system, consider damage control NOW

DAMAGE CONTROL...measures taken to offset or minimize damage to reputation, credibility, or public image caused by a controversial act, remark, or revelation.

What steps can we take now to minimize the damage to our lively hood, business, reputations which is in evidently going to occur from eBays polluted defect system.

1/Do we wait till the ship has sunk and try to raise it....Are you like the TITANIC..cant be raised?

2/Do we stop building up our stock , waiting for the inevitable to happen.

3/Or do we just become Doris Days and say

Que Sera, Sera  ???

Re: Defect system, consider damage control NOW

Reading all these posts and experiences really makes you wonder what ebay are doing? Are they really that oblivious to the real world? It seems as though you can steal $$$ from buyer and at most get a slap on the wrist. However you try and be honest and very communicative and they punish you by cancelling your account.
I am contemplating opening up a new account but also want to ensure that it will not be shut down after putting so much into it.

Re: Defect system, consider damage control NOW

It's funny. I'm usually a positive person but I feel my self saying "when I get my suspension...bla bla bla......"
But , yes if if happens to me , I can't just put my stock in a cupboard as plants will keep growing and I cannot post mature plants and I would have to go to the markets. Dread the thought. Thank goodness for gumtree the past few weeks. ( I know.....eBay own it ) but it has only cost me $1.95 to bump the add to the top and it's getting my stock down so I can regain my sanity.

Re: Defect system, consider damage control NOW

Well , I have been reduced to a person I am not. Today I got an email saying that the plant looks nothing like the one in the photo and he was very disappointed .....alarm bells alarm bells..... . I thought that's bloomin strange so I asked him to take a pic and send it to my mobile as I can't ask him to send it to my email as eBay block it.
Any way , low and behold I sent a cape gooseberry instead of a loquat tree.
I sometimes do weird stuff like that. I think I lose concentration whilst listening to conversation hour on abc when I pack.
I said he will love the cape gooseberry and ..........wait for it..................this is something I have NEVER said .I asked him to please FORGIVE me for my boo boo and I will send the loquat on Monday.
I would normally have just apologised and sent the right plant but to say.....please forgive me????
I embarrassed myself........hmmmmm now to wait and see if he really will forgive at feedback time..
