eBay

The way the page looks has changed, with big font etc. I didn't like this. It now has a big section with the items I'm watching (again! Duh!) and 'suggestions' for other things I might like. This just gets in the way between things I'm watching and things I'm bidding on. It's really irritating. Questions: 1. How can I get rid of it? 2. Why can't ebay let people format the page the way they want it eg change font size, get rid of sections they don't want? Really annoying. ... View more

Hi Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with their "saved searches " emails not getting to them.  Mine dont seem to be getting sent to me.  I have contacted Ebay by phone on two occasions now and have gone through all the steps but they are still not being sent to my email address.  They tell me that they can see I do have saved searches but that is all they seem to know.  Any help would be appreciated.   Thankyou ... Trying to purchase a PC upgrade package containing Motherboard, CPU and memory, when I hit buy now I am getting a message saying I do not meet the requirements of the seller and they need me to complete phone verification (first time I have had this happen), then goes on about needing it to register as a seller, when I'm a buyer....... so I start the process get my code enter it and the page just stalls on this address: http://shiptrack.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll So how do I get this fixed so I can continue buying my goods? Even when I have logged out, opening a search for the eBay site shows what I have been previously e arching for or bidding on. This is not helpful when I am buying surprises for family members who also use eBay. I have selected 'hide details' but it shows again the next time I open eBay. ... View more

Hello all,   l would like to clarify what was written in my account, and under my name. First of all, l would like to sincerely apologize to the forum for what was written. It was not myself, but by my partner! He does have 'anger' issues, but l take full responsibility for giving him access to my account. I can assure you good people that l have already changed my password, and rest assured that this will not happen again. I'll be having words with my partner as soon as he gets home from work! I am very angry that he has done this under 'my name', and acted like a child. I once again hope that you can all accept my deepest apologies for his stupidity, and mine for trusting him with my account details.   Secondly, I have called Ebay, and apologized for the distasteful negative comment written to the buyer, and asked them if it was possible for it to be removed. They can delete the profanity comment, that he made, but not anymore. They have been wonderful in their understanding of this matter, and l would like to commend Ebay for their help.   Also, l would like to thank everyone who took the time out of their day to comment on the ridiculous post that he put up in this Forum, and hopefully when l make him read them all, he will see what a huge mistake he has made, and will be sorry!   I am so very ashamed and embarassed by his ranting's and fool-hardy, nasty, unnecessary vile language! Ebay claims to have a policy against inflated ticket resales, yet once again it is doing nothing about it.  Tickets for the British Lions tour of Australia in June and July were sold out in 15 minutes.  Shortly after a multitude of them appear on Ebay at several times the face value.     People are desperate to get these tickets, hence why touts do this.       I believe Ebay has a responsibility to help stop this and allow true supporters of events to have a better chance of buying the tickets in the first place by not offering a convenient marketplace for re-sale.  Resale is also against the Australian Rugby Union, Ticketek and Ticketmaster codes of conduct, per their websites   I have reported several of these items via the Ebay report system but nothing has been done.  All that needs to be done is a search for 'British Lions Tickets Australia 2012' and a comparison with cost prices via the Ticketek or Ticketmaster website.  You will quickly see the price hike.   Do something Ebay - this is disgusting. ... I have had a buyer that has brought a number of items from me and is refusing to pay for them. I want to leave negative feedback but there is no button for this. When I go to leave feedback it gives me the option to leave positive feedback, leave feedback later or report a problem. When I have clicked to report a problem they are saying that the web address for that area of the site is no longer avaliable.
