I belive it is an ebay glitch across the Australian ebay pages
The lowest standard Auspost service is $9.70 up to 250gr
Buyers pay on some of my items (individually or combined) up to 250gr for $8.73 (97cents less)
$8.73 is the ebay discounted label price which offered to sellers if they want to purchase the label from eBay.
The listings and the checkout screens should show buyers $9.70
I searched on ebay and saw some sellers having the same issue..tons of listings with incorrect $8.73 postage
I belive the listings with calculated postage having this issue.

Omg, what a mess, my postage is all over the place.
I've just had a buyer pay too much, which I will have to refund.
But no wonder my sales are hugely down for this time of year, most buyers will steer clear of this chaos!

Mine too! For some items showing pick up only, and for a lightweight brooch, for example, it's showing postage at $22.39!!!! Only on ebay ........ 😩

It's got something to do with this new banner showing on the Post your order page:
"Introducing lower Australia Post rates! Enjoy up to 25% off* domestic and 20% off* international postage when you buy labels on eBay. *Discounts vary by destination"

Has anyone heard anything back from Ebay regarding this?
Its trying to make me pay $13.42 for label's that are normally $9.70 (AP), or $8.73 (Ebay)

It looks like they are trying to fix the issue
The whole postage rates table cleaned
All options taken off except the ebay postage label.
Fingers crossed, it will be back soon as it should be.

It's still all over the place and VERY inflated.

Seller Hub > Active Listings.
Sort by postage.
Bulk edit all those you want to change. Rinse and repeat. I do them in 200s. Most of mine are XS satchels, I don't change the prices for letters, which eliminates 40% of my listings.

Yes it looks like they have implemented the way Aust Post breaks up the different zones and depending on your location to the seller postage will vary.
I do prefer this method as the price can vary from $6.31-$9.22 for a xsmall satchel so hard to factor this into low priced items in the past. I just don't want to change my listings for ebay to change it again

No, the zones only apply to parcels over 5kg. That isn’t relevant to the issue at hand.

When I change the post code in a listing with calculated postage the price changes depending on the zone it is going to. This is how I get charged by Aust Post and appears to be what is happening with calculated posting listings. I pay from $6.31 to $9.22 for an X small satchel depending on zone.
If it stays this way it will be a lot of work to adjust prices but will also be that I will be more competitive to local buyers.
