I am appauled that eBay are allowing sellers to sell kives concealled as pens (Pen Knife).
They are cheap and kids have been buying them and taking them to school. I am outraged and this either needs to be stopped or reported to themedia.

We are showing our ages, I think. When I went to school it was common for every child to have a pocket knife on them. I suppose being a farming community made a difference though. KNives were simply useful tools and never thought of as weapons. *sigh* it is a changed world - great in many ways, but sad in a few others.

I think the best thing we learned as kids was responsibilty. I remember one of the other classes making a movie, I think it was a robbery), anyway they had a real car chase around the oval, and the guns were real (No Ammo). Try getting away with that now days,

I can relate to that, growing up in the UK we could have a shanghai at any age, an air gun from 8 years old and a shotgun from 10 or 12 years old (I think it was a 410 at 10 and a 12 guage at 12, and none of them required a firearms permit - just a 10 shilling licence), and I still always have a knife on my belt.................

I think the stupidest thing I did as a kid was store the lead pellets for my air gun in my mouth!
That being the case....I'm glad I didn't have a shotgun - 410 or otherwise.
