I have noticed that the postage is higher on the auction item than on the buy it now one,is this allowed?

Hi all. some of you might remember my original post, I had up for sale a wembley ware ashtray but forgot to put the postage cost in so i did a revision and added postage costs, this was done before there were any bids and it was there for everybody to see, anyway a buyer bid and won the item on the 5/10 and paid for the item only on the 9/10 so i sent ebay message asking could they please please pay postage cost and i would post it as soon as. never got a reply so after a few days i messaged and emailed them but still no reply, so i sent them a invoice through paypay for the postage costs, still no reply so i got their p.n and tried to ring but i think that it was a fax, so i left it for a while and had to go to sydney when i got back still nothing, i was reluctant to open up a dispute as she has they have got 100% feedback and i was giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was on holidays, but i think it has gone on long enough, so what do i do now. thanks Jackie

Hi, thanks to a helpful ebayer I discovered on the weekend that tracked satchels are not covered under the Paypal Protection Policy. Now I'm looking for an alternative to posting registered mail because it's so expensive for the buyer. Can someone tell me if Click and Send items are covered by Paypal if linked with the Ebay account and is that just because the address is entered into their database? But what's to stop the seller from still posting elsewhere? Just wanting to know what all the experienced sellers are using. Thanks

the parcel was from hong kong i believe, but i wasnt told it would be sent to some middle man, and i cant find the item through tracking. what do i do?

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me with international postage costs and getting it right in my listings. The information I have from Aus Post is: 1kg padded satchel - costs varies depending on buyer location UK 1kg satchel - $42.35 US 1kg satchel - $34.25 The UK and US satchels are not an option in the drop down available services. Also if you select satchels they want dimensions of the satchel. I am just looking at posting clothing items as this stage. So the 1kg satchels are a bit big but there is no 500gm international satchel. How do I create the international postage in the listings so I get it right? I'm finding it difficult and could use some tips. Thanks

I bought a backpack which cost $10.90 to send. I was charged $30 fo postage. I understand it covers postage and handling costs, but I think $20 extra is excessive and unreasonable. Any comments?

Hi I received a message from an new buyer on ebay au to ask if I would ship an item to her in nz - as no international postage was stated, I am happy enough to do this but only by a method that will give me seller protection though paypal - I was wondering if anyone could help with the best method as I have never posted an item internationally before the item in question is a dress that weighs under 500g thanks in advance:-)

I have recently retired to the Philippines, and my friend's home in Aust have said, Get your gear thru Ebay, It's cheaper and you won't have any problems. The only hurdle i have encounted, No delivery to Philippines, It seem's strange seeing as most of the item's come from Hong Kong, I know there must be a reason,(probably Govt)But it does put a considerable cost on sending it back to the Phil's Your's L.K.Hogan

I am currently using click and send but I am in WA so my packages take 5 to 10 business days to get to other states, sometimes more, this is affecting my seller rating. Ihave considered express post pre paid satchels but I like the ease of click & send as I sell 100+ items per week. I am using a mac so would prefer a Mac compatible program but do have a program that runs windows. Most of my packages are under 500g.

Does "Seller Protection" apply to combined postage? Say a seller sends 8 identical items (fours separate sales, one pair in each sale) to a buyer, but the buyer may claim (fraudilently) that he received only 1 or 2 or whatever ... not all 8! He then starts a claim with PayPal ... How can the seller prove that s/he put all 8 items in the package? Is the seller protected in that case under so called "Seller Protection"?

at the time of listing i didnt know australia post had upped their price for satchels and i couldnt edit auction since there was a bid on it. would it be wrong to add an extra $1 to their invoice for the price of satchels going up?

I bought a woman's bag priced $65.00 and P&H $12.50 send as standard postage and delivery. After 3 weeks I still did not received it. I contacted seller twice but she said that the parcel was send on 6/10 and she is not responsible for the lost item. What can I do in this situation? Thank you for your help

i am currently living in australia where its summer, unfortunately i have to leave the nice weather and move back to canada in the dead of winter. ive been buying winter clothing on ebay but i want to send purchases in the future to my mom in canada because im afraid the shipping may take too long, and im leaving in a month and a half. is there any way to send purchases to another address internationally?

I have been living in a old hotel for the last 2 years, all the rooms were sold off separately and rented out privately or used for holidays. There is no reception and there is no letter boxes for any of the 40+ apartments/rooms here. I was using my brothers address to get things delivered but I will no longer be able to do so. If I had a PO box how would I go about receiving parcels that are sent via courier, would I have to mail every seller and ask how they will be sending the items? Thanks for any advice.

can a seller refuse to combine postage and can they charge over price postage, if i ask for them to combine postage to a 3kilo parcel and register, still allowing a few extra dollars for handling ( i suggested 17.00) can they refuse and send it another way??

I've just started to use Click and Send, and I keep getting an error saying that the postcode is invalid. I googled the address, checked the suburb, and everything is correct and in the correct "suburb" field. I used the "Search City/Postcode" button, which populates a dropdown list and I selected the correct suburb. However, I'm still getting the error that the postcode is invalid! This happened for the 2 items that I'm trying to send out to 2 separate people, and it's driving me crazy. Any help is very much appreciated thank you!!

Item purchased with shipping to paypal address but shipping agent used by seller will not deliver to this address.Their nearest point is a depot 120ks away, from where they expect me to pick up the item.All other items ever purchased national and international, have always arrived at my address for signature, so I believe this one should also or discount my shipping fee.

I bid on three items from a seller, checking first to see if they combined postage. After receiving an affirmative response, i bid and won three items. Upon requesting an invoice the seller has almost doubled the postage charge quoted for the items (maximum postage for three items according to their listings was gbp 24.50 and i have been quoted gbp 42.30. This is grossly excessive for the items and i want to know where i stand. None of the items are heavy (a game, a magazine and a jigsaw - the heaviest of the three had a postage charge of gbp 8.50 in the listing) I am now being asked to pay gbp 14 per item.

Who makes the claim the buyer or the seller and how is it done? Just with austpost or with paypal too? If it says item damaged in the tracking info will auspost be automatically liable?
