Hi guys, I'm having a little trouble sorting out transaction that didn't go to plan. I sold two items (collectible anime figurines) on the 11th which were shipped on to my buyer on the 14th, the parcel was not registered, even though I offer it on all of my listings. Unfortunately, one of the two figures was broken in transit. I took extra care to pack them before hand (these being collectibles, and what not), but it still wasn't enough... I informed my buyer that he should take the parcel back to the post office and try to make a claim for the broken figure, despite the lack of registration, but he has just contacted me and told me that he 'doesn't have the time to deal with them' and requested that I sell him another of my items for less than my asking price ($5 off) and wants free shipping for it as well to "make up for it"! Where do I stand on this? It wasn't my fault that the item was broken, it also wasn't my fault that my buyer chose to go unregistered, and he acknowledges this fact himself, but I understand that it's not his fault either. The fact that he refuses to make the claim to AP, yet still wants me to compensate him, annoys me to no end. I'm concerned he make give me negative feedback for the transaction if I don't do what he wants... and from past experience I understand that ebay will never remove undeserved feedback despite the circumstances (the only neg I ever received was from an NPB). Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Yasmin
