Looking for some help when PO lost parcels

Hi, friends

I am looking for some advice in regarding to posting issues as I am relatively new to eBay.

I statrted a small eBay selling buisness about Apr 2017, and after almost a year I could see the trend is going well (For now It is very common for me to post 1 or 2 parcels everybusiness day)

I use Post office from the day I formally started, I would say I never had a problem like missing parcels not even delays til Feb 2018.

This month is totally a nighmaire to me, til 27th I posted about 30 parcels and 6 get missing, no need to mention for delays.

I didn't insured or even required signatures as it would limit my margin (My profitabiltiy is already quite limited.) Those just get missing, there is one express 500 grams satchel along with 2 regular boxes directly disappeared after my LPO collected, no further update after one week.

And I have to bouncing between PO and my furious customers, offering some free gifts or bounces to them to try to calm them down.

I wonder if some of you actually have similar experience or just me?? Any advice to handle this? If this kind of situation kept just for 2 months then I am down...

Thanks

Re: Looking for some help when PO lost parcels

Many years ago in another lifetime, we bought a deceased estate home in a little town called Uralla, in NSW. It was a tiny two bedroom down a narrow laneway and belonged to a 93 year old, quite wealthy, spinster hoarder. She was well known and even just a couple of years before her death you would see her about the little town immaculately dressed and even with make-up.

Impossible to give even a short description here, but it no longer, inside, resembled a home. And to really make things interesting, it hadn't been cleaned for decades, not years. Ha! And there's more. For almost 63 years she shared the home with about 40 odd companion chooks.

The smell made us retch every time we got near the place and it was literally moving with lice and every imanigable vermin on the planet. I won't talk about the toilet and bathroom. Whilst rennovatung the place our men looked like Martians in spacesuits and even had a makeshift cold shower erected in the back yard.

As disgusting, and sad too, as it was, there was a bonus - we found a lot of money, all ten pound notes, and the value only just fell short of what we paid for the home. But, I still reckon we worked for it.

its definitely an illness, and a nasty one.

Melina.

Hi,

Sorry for late reply and thank you to all of you who actually read my question.

After this long just 1 parcel still missing now and the rest appeared and delivered, while they all delayed some bit and I am still glad most arrived safely.

Appreciate for your help, so helpful

Re: Looking for some help when PO lost parcels

Hi,

Thank you for your kind reply and I trully appreciate with your help.

Unfortunately I didn't have good relationship with my LPO now, it was a harmonious relationship until I complained about their services late Jan, it was a long story but in short, if you use Google to search the PO at city you will find my LPO has the lowest score through all, and all of reviews are just right! I hope a complaint to their services would bring us some more professional, or just patiente front desk while I am totally wrong then. Parcel Issues rising just from Feb.

I don't have solid proof to support my feelings. However, none of my parcels have any issues after I shift to another PO, til today I posted another 15 or so and all of them delivered on time without a miss.

it would take me just 5 min more walking but saved hours in calling, dealing later.

Lesson learnt, I won't bother any services for PO, not any more. If eBay has a better delivery service I will then trust eBay

Hi,

The lens box could help lens arrive safely, increasing potential final price at eBay.

Re: Looking for some help when PO lost parcels

Hi,

Sorry for late reply.

Personally I don't think those boxes have any perceived values except protecting lenses from damages during the transaction.

It is like speaker or amplifier, the foam inside could provide help during the transaction, that is all.

I kept all of the boxes at my garage as I got several electronic cabinet to keep my lenses
