Received my first neg today - I think that it is unjustified as I did describe defects
But what can you do? Only ask the seller for a revision and that's pretty unlikely to be given.
I would have been happy to refund - why can't sellers write first?
ouch ouch ouch 😞

Well I have springcleaned the house - had a sleep - here it is another day, nothing has changed, I still feel awful
I have sent an email to the buyer asking if they will consent to a feedback revision, I presume I have to do that first. Not much hope.
I see in the feedback system if you are going to leave a negative, it says "before leaving this feedback, please contact your seller", well that didn't happen. It would be great if that was compulsory somehow, it might save a lot of negatives in the first place.

Hi Curraone,
IYou are right, too right it hurts! I had a similiar situation to you recently for what was also my first neg, and a very unfair one as well.
Buyer interstate bought a pick up only item that was clearly stated as such. I emailed them and checked they weren't able to pick up (they might have been visiting interstate for all I know) and that I could arrange for a mutual cancellation, they would just need to agree when asked by ebay. Buyer agreed and I gave them a full refund. 1 week later I got a negative feedback from them with the added bonus of marking me very low in two categories: 'item as described' and 'communication'. All because buyer didn't read the listing properly.
I didn't like my chances of asking the buyer to consider revising and I also read the ebay policy for feedback removal and although I wasn't sure what my chances were, I emailed ebay and asked for removal, which they did, both the comment and the detailed seller ratings. Based on this I feel you also have a chance because your comment reflects something clearly stated on your listing.
Good luck with it.

simplytoysandstuff now you know why many of us advise sellers never to offer mutual cancellation whatever the buyer's reason for not paying.
You should call ebay as they have removed negs when the buyer has agreed to a mutual cancellation and then left a neg.

Why would eBay even allow the buyer to leave a neg after the buyer had the choice to agree to the cancellation. Maybe eBay should add an option where it clearly states that the cancellation was due to the buyer's fault (for any number of reasons), which would also not give them the option to leave any negative feedback.
An unpaid item case is very negative in itself, IMO... but a mutual cancellation is meant to be positive, when the seller has done no wrong, that is. It's actually trying to help the buyer out...

Hi phorum_junkie,
The buyer did pay but obviously hadn't read the listing properly as it was pick up only and QLD to VIC is a long way to do local pick up, which is why I contacted the buyer to offer the cancellation & refund, which we did. The neg came later.
When I received the neg, I emailed ebay and they did remove it - problem solved - was just letting the OP know that feedback can be removed in some instances, and to give it a try!

That is good news.
Hope the buyer has learned that they are not all ways in the right.

You can always ask ebay to have it removed...
I neg someone who sold me something that was badly scratched and didnt work...but was described as "excellent...looked after by owner " !!! I kindly asked them for a refund and they said ...No!!!
I wrote in the feedback "not excellent as described broken and scratched..refund refused...fair enough I thought !!! Not so thought ebay...they deleted it and sent her an email saying that it was removed due to their feedback abuse policy WTF!!!! I now get abusive emails from this seller too just to add insult to injury lol
So give it a go....if they removed this feedback thay may remove yours !!!
