Our store received 98.5% positive feedbacks since we operated business here in 2011. However, recently, we are classified as "Below Average" seller due to few stocks are not available to sell which we didn't take off from our store immediately. Very enough, our fault on that. However, we found 2 weeks ago Paypal has been holding our funds for nearly every single sale. We called Paypal and found out:
Due to new Ebay policy, Paypal will hold funds until the goods are delivered to customer for "Below Average" seller. The point is we have been updating delivery status with tracking number for nearly 2 weeks. The customer has signed for receiving 2 weeks ago. The funds are still holding by Paypal. Their explaination is they didn't receive delivery status as they cannot access such information! As a seller, we need to call them to inform the tracking number and they need to track whether the item is been delivered or not. Lucky, we have tracking number for all items. We asked Paypal, if there is no tracking number on item, then will Paypal holding the funds forever? Their explaination is our customer needs to call them to confirm they really receive the item.
This ridiculous policy is just wasting time and make nonsense. It takes us 20 mins to get the funds released for the goods which been delivered 2 weeks ago.

You have a very fitting name. So the level of ones contribution is judged by the number of posts. Ha Ha Ha how laughable. Spare me your assistance thank you.

Nope, the level of a boardies experience in helping others is indicated by the amount of times they've posted.
To call a respected member an "ebay stooge" makes you look like a numpty, even if they do sometimes come across as being a touch abrupt.

I a 'numpty' (sorry I am not into your specialised language still I suppose with all the time you must spend on this site you are probably and expert on nonsense talk) you do look like a troll to me though. A legend in your own mind. The posts you have made in relation to my contribution surely, even in your mind, dont constitute 'helping others', certainly I didn't find them helpful. In relation to the webay stooge when someone relentlessly attacks people who have reasonable grievance's it hardly qualifies them as a respected member

Looks like the 'gang' is out to monster me, or is it just the same stooge or stooges using different ids. Anyway have fun I have more important things to do than follow this garbage.

I'm sorry you're unable to comprehend that calling someone an "eBay stooge" is unfair, as is insinuating that I'm a "troll" for pointing out to you that the comment was unjustified.
"monster you" ????? You put yourself in the frying pan, not me.

I dont blame them for withholding fund from beow average sellers until the buyer receives their goods.
but, expecting buyers and sellers to call them about every sale to make sure it was received is ridiculous. what if you, just one seller, sells 50 items a day like some Asian sellers?
Ebay must have one massive call centre.
Id love to meet the people who make up many of Ebays policies. I expect them to be somewhat like the crazy cat lady from the Simpsons. Imagine the boardroom. Lol!

Totally agree.
I'm suspicious that it is actually true, or maybe the robot in the call centre was mixed up.
I would be demanding to see this described in the policy. It's all there about witholding funds for up to 21 days. Nothing about "buyer must call to confirm receipt of item". Seriously doubt it 😛

I have wondered about that also, especially with these new policies re refunds etc, which require sellers to phone up if they require more info or want to appeal etc.

Absolute carp. There are numerous boardies that have posts recorded for drivel 5000+ attained through posting emoticons or memes.
Quantity of posts is meaningless in the scheme of things, substance and genuine assistance or geniune engagement is far more valuable IMO.

Thank you Sandra for your help. Our stocklist didn't updated on time. So we missed few items. The issue we have here is why Paypal doesn't have the updated information after 2 weeks since the goods has been delivered. The tracking number has been updated on Ebay since the goods are marked as "send". The reason Paypal holding the funds is because they don't have information from Ebay that the goods have been delivered.
