I requested for an exchange for the item as  the seller gives you that option! I sent back the item and they received it but I have not received the exchange I keep contacting them and I am getting no where! It's taken so long I can't even open a case or leave ba feedback! Hi all, I am fairly green to ebay and would like some advice please. I won a Iphone on auction on the 9th October which was paid the same day.Seller has marked it as posted on the 14th. As I had not recieved the phone I decided to send of a email last week enquiring about the status as the tracking # was missing from the postage details. I had not recieved any reply so i sent another one today. This time I get a reply stating the phone that they purchased is faulty so the one i purchased is no longer for sale and they will be issuing refund hopefully tomorrow. Sounds wrong to me that the seller can do such things. So they obviously lied about posting it on the 14th how do you know she just didnt like the price it went for? I would of thought that once offered and ran the full length of auction timeframe, once the buyer has paid and the money accepted it is no longer their phone. If there wasnt something fishy about it I would accept refund but in this instance i would rather have the item. Can someone shed some light on to my rights in this instance.   Thank you ... I contacted ebay by phone and they said no a seller cant ban you for no reason ..Next they say Yes a seller can ban you at his own discretion ,even tho I have a perfect record..   And to top it all off .I won 2 items recently ,paid paypal,but the sellers have got together and refused to send items ,,What I have gathered over this saga ,is .Is the cost of frieght to WA..so ebay let them sell me the item get my money and dont get item ,Because the seller has rights ,at his disposal ,It stinks ,,any one have any ideas     thks Rajah ... I took the advice given to only use Paypal ( thanks for that ) and was about to do just that when I got a rather irate message from seller - ` as I informed you I do not accept Paypal!` Also telling me that I need to take into account she has to pay FVF and it will take her time and effort to package ( for which there is a charge anyway )! Now what? I am still reeling from the attitude but also don`t feel too happy about having to use a wire transfer or I don`t get the item. I have purchased an item a while ago and have not yet received it even though it has been more than 40 days since the payment date. I bought an item ( $2000+ )from someone overseas who has Paypal listed as an option but has insisted I pay through a wire transfer. I went to organise that and found it will cost me $ 170 to do it! I purchased a bed on ebay.  I assembled the bed only to find it doesnt go together as it should and had screws missing.  Contacted the seller who sent someone out (at their cost).  The installer came out but had no idea what he was doing and couldnt put it together due to a manufacturing fault.  He put 2 holes in the material and said he would report his findings to the seller.  I contacted the seller and said I wanted a full refund to which his response was "You have to pay $175 to return the bed and a further $89 for the service call" so instead of the $779 I paid he will only refund $519.  I have now escalated to a Paypal dispute but am a little stressed, Im pregnant and sleeping on a mattress on the floor, without the refund I can not purchase another bed.  From my understanding the seller must refund due to a fault in the product purchased, am I correct?  Is there anything I can do to fast track the paypal process? ... OK, my seller,paypal,ebay has left me high and dry- A purchased item is mine and I go to pay now, the message says ` <sellers name> paypal account is unable to accept your payment`, thats it!  <small print- error #10068>. So I contact paypal....It is not from me or them. I contact seller....no response (and is new from 2 days prior-sells nothing else, no feedback, nothing!) I then contact ebay with my and paypals result and no seller....no reply, So I formally tell the seller that it seems to be PECULIAR with an attached `invioce request`....nothing ,right up to the 4th day TODAY. Ive looked through EVERTHING and asked and cannot find what the problem is-not even advise if the buyer stumbles upon a seller who forfeits - plenty about a buyer who welches. Cookies deleted, java updated -IN PRIVATE BROWSING, personal details updated a 100% feedback of 22 (a good years work!)- and thats it until I get the `dear john `call tommorrow about my end. I purchased two items from the same seller and received them, however one was the wrong type. Seller has offered to send the correct item for postage cost only and let me keep the incorrect item. I am happy with the resolution as I have a friend who will purchase the item off me, so it's win/win, but how do I pay the postage again so it links back to the communication / original item so I don't lose out if I just pay via PayPal - can the seller raise an invoice or similar? ... It has already over 2 months since first I won a bid of a laptop,at the first time ,the seller took one week to contact me and after that I waited for near one month to get my laptop because of international delivery. And when I finally received my laptop,I found it has few damage which the seller didn't mention at the first time,so I ask for return the laptop but the seller refused to pay the delivery fee.....,so I ask  him to transact the warranty of this laptop for me,and he said it should take few days because he had to ask the laptop company to do that for me,but I never got his reply again..... During this time I kept sending e-mail to him and still no reply,finally I decide to leave a negative feedback to him but I found out I already passed 60 days since I first won this bid.....so I can't do that...... when I realized this is his delaying tactics is already too late...... The other items for auction appear to have the same result of a rigged minimum auction price. Does the seller bid themselves and if the price does not exceed  the return they want they just re list it? I believe this is corrupt and not legal. The names of the bidders are kept confidential why ? to cover up this fact maybe   The other auctions i have participated in show the bidders partial names and are still confidential but i can see if one bidder is doing the lot or not. RE: Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003 (word and excel) for PC New sealed Item Number: 221138925417 Hi Wondering if this can be returned  for a refund if it does not work on a no name branded pc, the picture indicates for hp or compac pc only but seller confirms will work on any pc when asked a question on the listing? If returns are refused on this listing or others software or non software do I have a leg to stand on during a dispute process if it ever happens? I won an auction and the seller is in the UK. The seller is now refusing to send unless via Seamail/SurfaceMail after realising I was in Australia.   Nothing was mentioned in the auction about the postage being on the super slow boat. The listing says "Economy Int'l" as postage and was a Worldwide auction. I don't particularly want to wait 3 months for it to arrive and am more worried about losing my Paypal time to claim if it's faulty/doesn't ever arrive.   Am I within my rights to now decline the sale?? I won an auction today on something that I really wanted to buy for my son for Christmas. After winning I sent them a message letting them know when I would be paying and what method I would be paying by, only a couple of hours later I receive a message telling me not to bother paying that they returned it for a full refund that morning and didn't have time to cancel it. So why list when you have intentions of trying to get refund? Not happy! Maybe the auction didn't go off for what they wanted so they use that as an excuse. Well, I've received 2 e-mails from e-bay saying I have "Community Answers Waiting" but cannot find my original query anywhere (despite cutting and pasting the link sent in the e-mail) in order to add a thank you note to those who responded. I asked why some sellers either hold back feedback until the buyer has left their feedback - or leave no feedback at all for the buyer, despite prompt payment.
