Hi, I was informed by eBay on April 15th that I needed to update my Australian Business Number (ABN) and that my payouts would be withheld until this happened. Within a few days, I updated my ABN, however I was not able to adjust it through my account, with a message stating 'To edit your Australian Business Number, you need to contact eBay customer service.' I provided the updated ABN to eBay customer service and was told their internal team would update it and I should wait several business days. After providing additional verification information that was requested via email and waiting many weeks, I was finally told on June 1st that my ABN would updated on my account within 48 hours. It is now June 11th and this has not yet happened. I have contacted eBay through every channel I can find and keep being told the same thing- your issue has been escalated and you will have an update via email very soon. My payouts have now been withheld for almost two months and have been provided no timeframe on how much longer this will take. Is there any way to have this resolved, or any ombudsman that I can complain to? AFCA cannot deal with eBay issues and I cannot find out which ombudsman would be appropriate in this case.
