I am in Australia. I signed up with ebay on September 4, 1999.  Back in those days, and for quite some time after, buyers and sellers were in direct contact with each other via their personal email addresses.  When I bought something, more often than not the seller would notify me via email that they had mailed my purchase to me. I would look at the date and then count 6 to 8 days, and the package would arrive at my home. That's right, 6 to 8 days. It was as reliable as a Swiss watch, time after time after time. Today the transit time can be anything up to a month!  So what happened?  Do planes fly slower these days?  No!  Today my packages seem to go on a site-seeing tour, from this place to the next place to the next place and so on. In reality, they should go to the nearest international airport and then to me. I sometimes think that my packages could get to me faster if they were being paddled in a canoe!  Six to eight days is a short time to wait for a delivery, but knowing that I will have to wait anything up to a month, I have put up with it now for years, but I am very much getting turned off from buying, knowing there is such a long delivery time. ... I had set up a Zonos account linked to Australia Post. I created a postage label thru MyPost and Zonos has not charged me the duty, even though Ebay is already collecting and remitting that. I have seen that Ebay International Shipping is an option but can't work out how to set that up. If that is actually a good option? ... View more

Hi guys,  i have purchased a NBA card from an US seller. Getting it shipped to Australia. i have no other orders currently with Ebay and i had a package rock up today.  the package has multiple labels on it, i have slowly pulled it off the labels as the package has small oil containers in it, not a NBA card. the bottom label (original label) i have manage to peel off has a different USPS tracking number than what was provided from the seller and Ebay.    i believe i have received someone else's package. the packaged was delivered this morning but Ebay still hasn't updated to say its delivered. how do i go about getting this fixed?     ... Hello everyone, my new listings do not give me the option to post worldwide or internationally. It seems to show that it is possible but then when you click through and list it only ships domestically to Australia - this is only happening on any new listings including if I 'sell similar' from ones that were legacy and working correctly. I shipped a CD to an address in Italy using an Australia Post label I purchased through eBay. The tracking number (CF170379424) says that the buyer was not available. The buyer received an email telling her that an attempt had been made at delivery, however she says that she has no knowledge of this. The tracking number states that it is awaiting collection at ITALY, which is not very helpful. Why is AU Post so insanely slow? Usually it takes more than 10 days between 2 major cities??? Do they still use camels?  Parcels sometimes circle from one depot to another for days without any sense.  If Australia considers itself as a "developed country", its services should be organised on much, much higher level ... I have been selling Internationally using Calculated: Cost varies based on buyer location as that way the buyer gets charges what Aust Post charges me, no more. I am ok with that even though I lose money because of the fees. But now when I have a International sale the buyer is charged less as they get a discount but because I don't use flat rate I still pay the full amount to Aust Post, so eBay wants me to change to flat rate BUT when I tried it says flat rate etc but in the two empty boxes one for standard and one for express it says put in amount that the buyer has to pay. My issue is all countries have different postage costs. So what amount do I put in those boxes as if I put in a USA postage cost is is way different and higher than say to the UK or say NZ. I am trying to buy an item from UK to deliver to Australia but checkout says cannot send and will not allow me to progress to payment. The listing says may not send to Aus and to contact seller. I have contacted the seller and they say they send to Aus regularly and selecting "buy it now" should be fine, but it doesn't allow me to get through the checkout / payment.     Hi guys. I purchased an item on eBay with the delivery date being 18/12-23/12 so I would get it in time for Christmas. The seller has used Sendle (their only downfall). Once the item was lodged, the Sendle tracking updated to 5th Jan, but eBay still showing the earlier date. I never would have purchased the item if I thought I wouldn’t get in time for Christmas. Contacted both eBay and Sendle who each blamed each other for the delivery daye difference. Sendle then sent me a screenshot of postage dates to receive in time for Christmas. They are stating now that I am in a remote area so it should’ve been sent by 10/12, even though the screenshot shows ‘National’. Did the meaning of ‘National’ change without me knowing?  I cannot afford to purchase another present for Christmas and I don’t think the seller should be responsible for a refund. The sell has told me that someone in ebay that my address can not be shipped, I fild that very strang as I recive parcels most weeks and have recived egg incubators before and sent to the same address  The address has a person living at the address, it is also the the shop in the town and post office, this is why it is very strang that the seller has told me the the address is outside the rang of delivery.  What is going on, is this miss inforemation being given out by the sell?  As I have recive many items and some of size with ebay seller know this person tell me I am outside the range and will not send, very strange.  Look forward to your reply ... I live in an area that does not have courier service. The listings state postage which one would assumes will be sent in the mail. I have had numerous purchases cancelled when I advise there is no courier service to Norfolk Island. Could your tabs have a choice button for sellers when listing which they click for postage (meaning Australia post) or courier? I buy a lot from Ebay and find it very frustrating.... please help ...
