Hi, I don't know what to do. After selling and posting books to a buyer I was told they had not arrived. I checked the tracking and they had seemed to have disappeared in transit. I refunded the buyer but now see they were delivered after the refund. Buyer admits they have them. How do I now get my money? Thanks.

I have a buyer in WA who hasnt rec'd a parcel posted on 14th Feb and has put in a request and a negative rating. I understand this and have contacted the carrier who is following up the parcel. However eBay have charged the on hold fee again, ie double the sale value!. I spent over 2hrs on chat, with 6 (six) different agents, two of whom lied and all very evasive. And no response. I now have to wait up to 48 hrs to find out why, and then for the carrier to find and deliver the parcel before any of the hold is lifted. How can any organisation hold funds that are not in any way associated with a sale? ie the second full buy price hold And any suggestions?

HELP !!! I sell personalised kid's placemats and in my ad. description, describe them as they are ... double laminated etc. I've sold heaps of these and not ONE complaint, always good, happy feedback. Now a buyer wants a refund for (3) she bought, saying (quote) "only a laminated bit of paper". These are not, I use good quality photo paper and as I said, they are double laminated with coloured rubber corners on the back to prevent slipping. Either I fully refund her, or request a return (where I have to pay the return postage...doesn't seem fair at all). Apart from that, I sent (9) FREE sticker sheets for the kids, which is nothing, but it's mainly the principle of it all. What does everyone suggest I do ??? ... (thanks in advance).

As I am paying the postage for 99% of my sales, customers won't pay extra for tracking on low value items. For example, items that can't be sent as a LARGE LETTER ( must be less than 20mm thick x 260mm x 360mm) have to go as a PARCEL which automatically has tracking, disregarding the item's sale price. An item which can be sent as a LARGE LETTER, with a sale value under, say $20, doesn't pay me, to pay the extra $3-60 to have tracking, after eBay takes their slice, I pay the postage, packing and delivery to the Post Office. Can eBay have somewhere on the "Checkout" as a compulsory tick, "YES" or "NO", where the Customer has to say that they are willing to pay the extra $3-60 for Tracking?, otherwise THEY the customer has no come back if the item is late delivered or totally missing . The system has to be FAIR to both PARTIES!

Hey guys - anyone here experiencing a steep decline in sales over the last 6 months? We have been on eBay for 17 years and this has to be the worse downturn we have seen. Contacted eBay to clarify if there are any issues with our store or listings, the only thing they said was their specialist team is looking into the matter. It’s been weeks and still the same answer. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I had my motorcycle for auction the buyer placed a bid on it on the first day and ended up winning the auction I tried to contact him but got no reply and ended up cancelling I relisted the bike buy it now another buyer bought it and again will nor answer emails or request to pay is this a happening thing now both buyers had good feedback

I know Ebay plays a merrygo round attatude I guess to protect then from peoples harrasment and verble abuce But seriously one cant get a sensible answer or a direct answer from a section relaiting to a improtant problem the other day i used the help talk to a agent , afer over a hour and being transfered to a so called serice operator that can assis to another and then another , and still it failed sure we know the Ebay oz is not more like sinapore or India as whist they speak probable better english than i do or the problem in reality cant be solved by most agents as its more than a general question as for email direct to customer relations , there is one one for each country that manned and operated , but again so poorly its a waist of time

I was trying to link bank details in my eBay seller page but it comes up with the error 'connection was reset' and then I try to use start using seller page on eBay seller Hub it comes with the error looks like something went wrong. I just learned the hard way that it is not enough to send an item with tracking, as eBay encourages you to do. What they neglect to tell you is that you should also send it with extra cover for the item's full value, as they will not "protect" you if the parcel gets lost in transit. For me, eBay's insistence on tracking has always been good enough to feel protected as long as I used tracking. That and the assumption that the high fees I am paying should not just be so that eBay can offer protection to buyers who contribute absolutely nothing to their protection. And talking about buyer protection, eBay also neglects to tell buyers that they will not be protected if tracking shows that an item was delivered although the buyer may never have received it, either due to it being mis-delivered or falsely scanned as delivered. My question really is whether eBay should (or has to) disclose above pitfalls to their members many of whom would not be aware of them and as a result could find themselves misled and financially disadvantaged?

Greetings Ebay Genii, I am looking to list some items (as variants) but as the item prices are (relatively) low, I am not keen on selling these 1 @ a time due to freight / postage. I intend to specify in my "Conditions of sale" a minimum order value. I think I read somewhere, sometime ago, that return preferences can be set to "no partial returns accepted" or something along those lines. I cannot find this setting. Can anyone advice the whereabouts of this setting (if it still exists). Cheerz

Do I need an ABN or to register as a business to claim deductions at tax time if my eBay earnings are over 10k? Or can I just claim everything (postage costs, cost of goods, eBay subscription fees etc) as long as I've got receipts?

Hello eMail Community, I have just sold my first item on email but just want to check something. I got a "confirmation email" from eBay from this address ebay.verifiedteam@gmail.com with the following message: Title: Congratulation OK to Ship. (Gift Card Receipt/Picture Required To Release Your funds Text: Ebay have confirm your payments In a conversation with the seller they also wanted me to include a $200 voucher for the Apple online store. I did not think this was suspect until I got this. It looks suspicious due to the "gmail account" (why would eBay use Gmail) and also the odd subject line and spelling / grammar mistakes. I'm unsure if it's real and don't want to proceed to send the items to the seller until I know. Thank you! Ralf

Hello! I’m trying to sell items on eBay and went to search up my seller name to see if people could find me easily. I noticed that it only showed that I had listed 11 items (from a buyer’s POV), when I actually had listed 15. When I go to the “My eBay” button and then go to “Selling/Sold”, it says I have 15 active items, which is correct. Is there a reason this is happening, and a way I can fix this? Thanks!

I have a product on auction right now with no bids yet but a seller has made an offer. If I accept the offer will the auction end and the buyer wins the item or will the auction officially begin in that the first bid has been placed?

HI, A customer is wanting a refund on an item that has not been returned as yet, I sent a post bag back on 15/11 for her to return item but the bag has not arrived. She has put a case in for "item not received" so Ebay is saying i need to refund, but I am not refunding because she DID receive! and until I get my item returned i dont think I should refund. I have never had to do this before and im a bit upset about the way it has gone down. any help or advice would be great thanks

Hi, I put up an item when Ebay had a 2% selling fee deal. The buyer then asked to cancel due to illness, which I obliged with, and the item was relisted. Will the selling fees be the same or revert to the higher rate. Thanks for looking.
